property in Istria Croatia

Inspection trips with Croatia Properties are free of charge. Many agents charge to show you around properties. Whereas this is intended to enable them to focus on genuine buyers, rather than simply holidaymakers, we believe we should not.

As a foreign buyer, you will have to deal with many legal procedures when buying a property in Croatia. We understand that it can be a daunting task and therefore we are fully committed to help you.

We follow the buying process for you during all the time and will keep you up to date with any news

Croatia Properties arranges all the legal documentation for you and guides you through the process of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Land Registry. When acquiring a property in Croatia, foreign citizens need to obtain the approval of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia. This is a formality that requires 12 to 18 months to complete. We will provide to our foreign customers full documentation in English by official translators.

Croatia Properties follows the whole process during all the time and will keep you up to date with any news. Once you receive the Ministry's approval Croatia Properties will register you in the Land Registry. In Croatia the ultimate proof of ownership is entry of the owners name in the local Land Registry (Zemljisne Knjige) on that specific property. The local courts will not allow a foreign citizen to be entered in the Land Registry without the MFA approval.

Having lived in Croatia and worked in the Croatian property market for many years, we have a good knowledge of local builders, architects, lawyers, accountants, translators and shops that can recommend whenever you require them. We believe that local knowledge should be shared and it is our aim to help you with these issues if you need so.
